ZIA PARK & BLACK GOLD HOTEL

In 2013, Zia Park Race Track and Casino began construction on a new 154 room 5-story hotel to be located on the site grounds of the race track and casino located on Millen Drive in Hobbs. Pettigrew & Associates had provided a full suite of civil engineering services, construction management, surveying and materials testing for the original racetrack and casino project in 2005, and was invited back to work on the second major project on the site. Pettigrew provided survey services, fireproofing inspection and materials testing including steel inspections throughout the construction. Pettigrew also performed all subsurface utility engineering (SUE) work and ensuring the ALTA survey accurately showed improvements, easements, rights-of-way and other elements impacting the land for the new hotel.
