Civil Project Engineer/EIT

Job Description:  Civil engineering, surveying and materials testing firm involved in the design and construction of public works and site development seeking Civil Project Engineer. This person would be responsible for leading a civil project team, performing day to day design tasks and interfacing with clients and other consultants.   

Requirements include a Bachelor’s Degree in civil engineering and a New Mexico professional registration. The candidate must posses at least 1 year of experience in civil engineering including site grading, storm drainage systems, water distribution and wastewater collection, traffic control, developing specifications and performing construction phase services, such as reviewing and responding to material submittals, requests for information, preparation of pay estimates, and site inspection.  Candidate must have strong design skills, and have the ability to supervise the design team in developing plans. Additional experience should include familiarity with all aspects of AASHTO geometric design guides, experience with AutoCAD Land Development Desktop 2008, and DOT specifications.

 

Survey Party Chief

This position requires a minimum of seven years of experience in boundary, topographic and construction surveys, design surveys, subdivision plats, ALTA/ACSM surveys, water rights surveys, horizontal and vertical control networks for aerial and GPS surveys.

Preferred proficiency in the use of computers and CAD, Trimble Geomatics Office, GPS Total Station, Robotics, AutoCAD and Land Development Desktop.

 

 

Survey Office Chief

This position requires a minimum of two years experience with AutoCad and/or Land Development Desktop.

Position will support Survey Crew Chiefs, Survey Manager, and Principal Surveyor in general. Position duties include drafting and verifying survey data, preparation of field stakeout data as directed by project manager, and other miscellanous survey related duties.

 

 

Safety Manager (Project Specific)

This position requires the following:

a. A four (4) year undergraduate degree in a safety-based curriculum plus at least two (2) years of relevant construction experience.
b. “Certified Safety Professional” as recognized by the Board of Certified Safety Professionals with at least two (2) years of relevant construction experience.
c. Construction Health and Safety Technician with as recognized by the Board of Certified Safety Professionals with at least three (3) years of relevant construction experience.
d. Safety supervisor who has completed the OSHA 500 Basic Instructor Course in Occupational Safety and Health Standards for the Construction Industry and has performed full-time safety responsibilities for at least five (5) years in the relevant construction industry.
